Day 6 since graduation and I feel as if I've hit bottom. I knew this would happen. I suppose I could write about it all, but I started to and decided it just made for a crappy post that not even I would want to read. Nonetheless, I mention it here because my general deportment influences my inspiration to write.
So, since I'm not writing some personal melancholyI shall simply reflect on various affairs I have come across these past few days. Please bear with me.
"I Am My Own Twin." I came across a blog talking about this show on Discovery Health Channel, so I had to watch. I admit, I love medical anomallies, aka freaks of nature, so when I came across the following description I knew I had to watch: "Babies are being born split right down the middle, half black and half white, a testicle on one side and a vagina on the other. Explore the extraordinary medical phenomena that causes two different babies to fuse together in the womb." Indeed, the whole thing was thoroughly fascinating as the narrator told the stories of these two women whose DNA did not match that of their children. Actually, one of the women matched with one of her children, but not her other two kids. While every day on Maury you can find out that "fathers" don't match "their kids'" DNA, you'd be hard pressed to find a mother who didn't match (for obvious reasons). So, the question was, who's DNA is it? The answer: the mother's unborn twin that exists inside of them... more or less. The show airs again on the Discovery Health Channel on June 24 at 5am and on June 26 at 7pm, so I suggest you watch. Or at least TiVO it.
Ring Tone Dancer. Scary and funny all in one. Watch #4.

Weddings now cost an average of $26,327. Is it just me or does this sound outrageous? What in the world are people spending their money on? And why? For what? Ok, really, in truth, this is no surprise to me as I did a bunch of research on consumer spending habits with respect to weddings my sophomore year and I could answer how and why people are spending their money. But still... I fail to understand how spending so much money enhances anything. You'd much sooner find me in front of a Justice of the Peace in some courthouse than spending a new car's worth on a one-day event.
Bush's commencement speech protested. My question is why in the world is he speaking at Calvin College? Who's ever heard of Calvin College?
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

(3 stars) This movie was great, but upon reflection could have been better. How? I do not know. I do not claim to be Steven Spielberg or Roger Ebert or anybody who might know a lick about filmmaking. However, I do feel that the film relied too heavily on special effects/graphics, which allowed the storyline to be something below stellar. In that this was the last Star Wars, I feel as if the movie should have blown my mind, and it certainly fell short of that. No matter, a sense completion in life now exists and I can now countdown the days until the new War of the Worlds comes out.
Yeah... so that's all I have for now. Somebody inspire me.
