Andy's First Blog (and unoriginal title)

While I barely understand enough about the world to go ahead and write about it, here goes nothing (in other words, tell me if this sucks).

There is no more appropriate thing to start off writing about than Emily. Of course, I mean the hurricane. The American Red Cross estimated about 4,000 people packed up their televisions, video games and coolers of drinks and snacks and settled into the 14 shelters set up across the region. Since when is the most important thing to pack up if your family and home are in a hurricane video games and television?! I like video games as much as the next guy, but they would never be the first thing I go to save if I have to go running from my home.

On an entirely unrelated topic, the newest book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Just finished it last night, still stunned by the ending (those who know it probably feel the same way), and was left with many mixed feelings. Definitely worth the $17.99.

And finally, Lance Armstrong is on his way to win the Tour de France yet again. To quote second place rider Ivan Basso, who is only two minutes and 40-some seconds behind Lance, “The race is already over.”

That’s it for now, hope it was good.
