My TV sorta works although it likes to fritz out for a second every now and them. Painfully annoying more than anything. And totally unacceptable service for whatever I'm paying for cable (must be nice to be the only cable provider in the area).
My internet doesn't work thanks to something the "tech support" guy liked to called "wall guarding" - a concept I was told was too technical for me to understand - and I need to be "provisioned." You know, I try to make tech support's life easy and when I *know* the problem is on their end, I tell them straight up and the beginning of the phone conversation and take them through all of their notecards without them having to ask so that we can waste as little of their and my time as possible. But, I've decided it'd probably be easier if I just play dumb and get confused at Step #1: Restart the computer. They know how to handle that kind of stuff.
Until I get "provisioned" I am most grateful to my neighbors who like to share their internet. I bet they're really nice people. Maybe I'd bake them cookies if I knew who they were. Or if they started an ISP, I'd totally sign up. Bet it'd be better than Comcast.
