As I'm sure many have read the story of James Kim and his family lost in the Oregon woods did not turn out with a happy ending. Fortunately, Kati Kim and her two daughters survived, but James did not. Really, an incredibly sad story that I so ineptly attempted to sum up.
Moving along... so anyhoo, Rick Sanchez from CNN writes in Anderson Cooper's 360 blog about the rule of 3s:
- You can survive for three hours without shelter
- You can survive for three days without water
- You can survive for three weeks without food
In other words, if you have to choose shelter, water or food, always go for shelter. Surprised by this, I thought I'd pass along... just in case. Stay safe.
