real world application: you have an extra space in your html email and just can't figure out why it's not looking right. visit the code of the email (scary place, i know) and look at where you're having the problem. 9 times out of 10 you'll see this funny sequence of character/letters. if you want to get rid of that extra space you see in the wysisyg, delete this.
