I'd like to commend the U of I Convocation Committee for selecting Bill Geist to be this year's commencement speaker. Walking the fine line of humor and inspiration, Geist was certainly the highlight of the 2-hour ordeal and I left the event wishing I had a transcript. Wahoo for me, NPR broadcast the whole event (the afternoon Enginerd/Business convocation) so I can listen to it over and over again. If you for whatever reason missed convocation, you should certainly go and listen
here. Geist's part starts at 56:00 and lasts about 10-15 minutes. Totally worth it though.
UPDATE: MP3 version of Geist's speech available here.
