anyone else ever notice how, more so than almost any other store, people go to target as couples? it's frou-frou enough for women to add elegant and upscale touches in their homemaking/nesting process and economical and masculine enough for men so that it doesn't fall on the same par as crate & barrel or pier one. (yes, i know couples go to those stores too, but you'll still find single shoppers there).
i'm surprised target hasn't done more with this. like his and hers shopping carts, alternating aisles and sections of masculine/feminine interests, redoing the way they present the price and product description. their ads are almost all couple-based. it's like their ad agency gets it but their marketing dept doesn't. hmmm.
on the flip side, target ads are definitely some of the best ads out there. across all mediums, but tv is the best.
